Darth Maul Lightsaber
Before Maul appeared, the Sith had been gone for a very long time, so long that the Jedi Council had begun to believe they might just be a thing of the past.
In Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Maul’s first appearance instantly reminded the council of a real threat. Even though he barely has any lines in the movie, he still leaves an incredibly strong impression.
Maul was taken by Sidious as a child and subjected to nearly brutal Sith training. Anger, hatred, and obedience were drilled into him over and over, leaving him no choice but to become a weapon that executes orders without question.
The moment his double-bladed lightsaber appears, it makes a strong visual impression and clearly shows his presence as a Sith. In the Battle of Naboo, it was this very lightsaber that allowed him to defeat Master Qui-Gon, until Obi-Wan cut him down and split the saber in two.
When 89sabers recreated Maul’s EP1 double-bladed lightsaber, we focused on precision, replicating every detail, dimension, and proportion from the movie.
The full-metal hilt is made from aerospace-grade aluminum, with a high-polymer anodized finish giving it a subtle matte metallic sheen. All parts are CNC-machined, and the edges are rounded with no sharp corners. The single-hilt pommel design is inspired by the saber being cut in the film, and it lights up at the end when powered on.

- All of the parts are made by CNC.
- The main parts of hilt are made from 6061 aluminum.
- Some of small parts are made form brass.

Chassis Design:
- The chassis designof 89sabers in 2023, the chassis are made from High strength nylon. It can beturned on and off independently.
- There are 2 accent RGB LEDs on the chassis and one switch.
- The chassis use a pointed headbattery with physical battery protection function so the battery can last a long time.
